A Toy You Didn't Know You Needed
I have been around boys for the majority of my adult life. Not to say that all the boys in my life have been adults, but they are now.
You just never know what you are going to come home and find. Recently, I have started a little exercise routine, and it puts me home later than everyone else. Tonight, I got home to find two very animated big boys on the porch with this awesome salt gun. I have seen many guns in my life, from real to Nerf, but this gun just shoots exploding puffs of salt, and I guess you are supposed to kill bugs with it. Dad told me he read about it in the Wall Street Journal before Christmas, so he ordered three. For Christmas gifts. Whatever.
Never a dull moment at the ranch in the city. The website can tell you all about these weapons of mass destruction for flies, mosquitos, and other insects.
Did you know that the common housefly defecates every 4-5 minutes carrying many diseases and germs? Did you know that a female housefly can lay over 3,000 eggs during its lifespan, which is less than one month? Well, those facts were enough for me to cheer them on, for as long as I could stand the 104 degree temperature and stiff southwest wind.
After a hard day at the bank, it must be quite a stress reliever to massacre annoying insects. Dressed for total relaxation, he took care of several pests, but me and my D.I.L. continued to get bit by something invisible. We took cover in the air conditioning of the house, while those big boys continued to wear themselves out shooting things.
Hours and hours of fun! Too bad we didn't have all three shooting them at the same time. When I say never a dull moment, I mean never.
