My son, Chase, is a hobbyist. Remote control things have always been
part of the equation, but within the last couple of years, it has
become more remote control things that fly. I don't even pretend to
know what he has, or what he has crashed, or what is on order next. But
he recently has coupled that flying of a quadcopter with his
photography itch. If you know what a "Go Pro" is, then you know what I
am talking about. But some of the things he has videoed recently are
pretty impressive. The "Go Pro" is a camera that can take video on the
go, like strapped to your helmet when you are snow skiing, there were
two installed on the jet flight I went on a few weeks ago -- pictures
forthcoming, you can attach them to anything that moves, and they have
an unbelievably smooth video result.
Recently he took
some video of combines in the field while harvesting corn. But today, I
am going to post this video he took flying in between some wind
turbines out at the ranch. Pretty cool.
The link says it is vulnerable and should be updated, but I live on the edge,
and I watched it anyway.
